If
you have noticed strange marks forming on your carpet, it could be
caused by the process of ‘pooling’, this is when the pile permanently
goes into a different direction from the rest of the carpet, making it
look like there are pools on the surface.
Pooling
or shading is a phenomenon that appears on cut pile carpets, it appears
in a random order on some carpets, and it is caused by the reflection
of light hitting the strands of the carpet.
Cleaning
a carpet will not alter this alteration to the pile of your carpet, the
best thing to do if you find this on your carpet is to cover the area
with a rug or floor covering.
