Carpet cleaning to reduce allergies

According to Allergy UK one in four people suffer from an allergy! Among the most common allergens are:
Dust mites
Pollen
Animal dander
Food (e.g.nuts/seeds)

Carpets are the number one place for these allergens to accumulate in your home. Dust, skin, pollen, animal debris and crumbs fall onto the carpet and get lodged into the carpets fibers. Dust mites feed on skin and so will be living en-mass in your carpet.  Walking over the carpet will disturb the debris and release allergens into the atmosphere setting of symptoms of allergies.

Symptoms can range from moderate to severe:

Runny/sneezing/itching nose
Itchy watery eyes
Skin rash
Wheezing or Asthma attack

It is crucial, for people living with allergies, to clean carpets regularly.

Regular vacuuming with a hypo-allergenic vacuum cleaner which is supported by British Allergy Foundation Approval will filter debris so that it is not released back into the atmosphere during cleaning, so as not to upset someone with a dust allergy.  We would suggest the Sebo Felix Pet which has S-CLASS FILTRATION.  S-CLASS systems will remove 100% of particles of 1 micron and above. Dust mite faeces are approx. 10 microns.

It is also very important to have your carpets cleaned regularly because vacuuming will only remove surface dirt and debris.  Have a professional carpet cleaning company deep clean your carpets to remove the build-up of deep rooted dirt and allergens that a vacuum will not reach.
